About the author (2002)

Max Wheeler is Reader in Linguistics at the University of Sussex where his research focuses on phonology, and on change in inflectional morphology. He is joint editor of the electronic Journal of Catalan Studies. He is co-author with Alan Yates and Nicolau Dols of Catalan: A Comprehensive Grammar
(1999).

Alan Yates Has taught Catalan for thirty years at the University of Sheffield, England.
