He married firstly Dorothy, dau. of John Heath of Ramside, gent., mar. at St. Giles, Durham, 15 Dec., 1631 (1673 May 6, Alicia, widow of Richard Hickes, lately Rector of Whitburn, buried, Washington Regs., this being the burial of his second wife).
