M.A. of Christ Church, Oxford, appointed to Whitburn, 25 May, 1631; deprived; Canon of Westminster, 1662; died 18 July, 1670, aged 70, buried in Westminster Abbey. During the Commonwealth he taught school at Dublin and at Hayes, Middlesex. After the Restoration, he was installed at Durham, 2 Nov., 1660. He was created D.D. at Oxford, 1 April, 1661, and 20 Jan. following installed Prebendary of Westminster, and was Sub-Dean at his death.
