ADDENDA AND CORRIGENDA

THE above words aptly express the sort of work in which the compiler of this volume has long been engaged. He now passes on that work to his readers, who will find ample scope both for adding and correcting. Some day probably there will be a call for a revision and enlargement of the whole subject. It is to be hoped that by that time similar efforts will have been made in the other ancient dioceses of England, and in this case fresh light and information will be shed on matters ecclesiastical throughout the country.
