Strana 3 - But be not ye called Rabbi, for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth : for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
Strana 15 - Wherefore, of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
Strana 4 - Is there not reason to lament it that we answer the character no more ? Is there not reason to cry out with a good man in former times,* " Blessed Jesus, either these are not thy words, or we are not Christians." Oh, season our hearts more effectually -with thy grace ! Strana 9 - Think of a body of lawyers — a tribunal only one degree less unfit for the work than a body of ecclesiastics — summoning a fellow-creature before them — a woman — a widow — one of that class of human beings whom Christ always treated with so tender a respect, — to examine her touching her soul's health.
Strana 6 - ... proving all things that they may hold fast that which is good...
