28. At Bottlevs, Surey, sir Joseph Mawbey, bart. He succeeded his father, sir Joseph, the first baronet, in 1798. He married in 1796, Charlotte Caroline Maria, only daughter, by his first wife, of the late Thomas Henchman, esq. of Littleton, Mid dlesex, by whom he had issue two daughters. The remains of sir Joseph were interred at Chertsey: the attempt to render his obsequies simple and without pomp was frustrated by the numerous applications from persons desirous of showing their last testimony of regard. The poor in him have lost a friend, as he performed his duties as a magis. trate with unbiassed rectitude, and

by living on his estate conduced to the benefit of his dependents-such is the life of a true country gentle.

At Killishee, county of Kildare, John-Henry, baron de Robeck. He possessed large estates in Ireland, by his marriage with the baroness, daughter and sole heiress of the late honourable Richard Fitzpatrick. He is succeeded in his titles and property by his only son Henry.

At Cheltenham, in his 72d year, Thomas Bidwell, esq. who during the last twenty-five years of his life had filled the office of chief clerk in the department of Foreign affairs, into which he entered fifty years ago.
