EXPLANATION.

I did not tell them to eat that which is unclean, neither did I tell them that they should not wash the outside of the cup; else why did I command the Apostles that they should eat no blood, or things strangled, or things offered to idols, but I said, "Cleanse first that which is within the cup, that the outside may appear clean also."

This I said to shew them that they appeared with all the outward ordinances, when their inward part was full of iniquity.

(f) Which has been torn with any other thing, till it dies, though the blood be drained out.

Exodus, 22 chap. 31 ver. "Neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs."

(1) Lev. 11 chap. 8, 30-47 ver. If it touch an earthen vessel, that vessel shall be broken: but a vessel of any other kind shall be cleansed by water.

Lev. 22 chap. 6 ver. Whosoever toucheth any such thing shall wash bis flesh in water.

But that which is killed and the blood drawn out, whether it be beast, fowl, or bird, whether it be clean for thee to eat or not, it shall be clean for thee to handle, unless it have begun to putrify.

(m) Num. 19 chap. 11-32 ver. He that doeth it shall enter into a running water, on the third day; and be received into the congregation on the seventh day. He that is unclean, and purifieth not himself, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation. 11 chap. 34 ver. The vessel that toucheth a dead person, or that a dead person is washed in, if it be an earthen vessel, it shall be broken: but if it be a vessel of any other kind, it shall be cleansed with water.

Exodus, 23rd chap. 14--17th ver. Leviticus, 23rd chap. 9-17th ver. I said unto Moses, "When ye reap the harvest, ye shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits to the priest: and ye shall count from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf, seven sabbaths complete, even unto the morrow after the sabbath shall ye number fifty days," Viz. seven full weeks and one day; which is the time from the resurrection of the woman's seed to the pouring out of my Spirit upon the twelve; forty days from his resurrection to his ascension, and ten days from his ascension to the pouring out of the Sptrit. It was the morrow after the sabbath that the fifty days began from the time of bringing the sheaf of the first-fruits, and it was

on the morrow after the sabbath that the body of the woman's seed Jesus rose from the sepulchre, (Matt. 28 chap. 1, 2, ver. he being the first-fruits of them that slept.

Thou shalt do no manner of work on the feast-days, but thou shalt keep them holy from the sun-rising to the sun-setting.

Thou shalt keep Christmas-day according to the new date, it being established by the Laws of the Land, till it be altered in the house of Parliament.

Thou shalt not eat any flesh of any kind of beast, bird, fowl, or fish, or the fat that proceeds from them, on these feast-days, nor unleavened bread; but leavened bread, and any kind of fruit of the earth, or trees, or vegetables.

The two days following each of these three feast-days, thou shalt keep as rejoicing.

The marriage of the Lamb shall take place on the day of the feast called Easter, and end on the 52nd day, being the day called Whittuesday. Luke 12 chap. 37 ver. "Blessed are those servants whom the Lord when he cometh shall find watching."

Isaiab, 62 chap. 4 & 5 ver. "Thou shalt be called, My delight is in her, and thy land Married; for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee; and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.”

Those who break any part of this Third Boook, shall not meet till it be proved by the mouth of two or three witnesses, that they have repented, and forsaken the evil, and submitted.
