A Prophecy given to John Wroe, dated Ashton, 1st of 7th Mo. 1826, in the presence of a large congregation.--"Two men, the Lord has shewn me, one belonging to this body, the other belonging to Bradford: he at Bradford is a tall young man; he seeks to slay me privately: the other is a short man; he seeks to do it publicly." A Prophecy given to John Wroe dated Ashton, 18th of 9th Mo. 1827.-"There is a little man, low in stature, yet greater than all the town; looks are high, his ways are lofty; he shall go round the town like a roaring lion, his voice shall be heard within the town. were fulfilled from

after they were githree to five years ven: the tall young man at Bradford proving to be one James the life of John Laycock,who sought Wroe secretly, in the Autumn of 1830; and the little man at Ashton, proved to be one Silas Lees, of Hurst Cross, near Ashton, who sought publicly the life of

John Wroe, which was manifested on

the 27th and 28th of

2nd Mo. 1831, on the latter of which two days, he went to

seek him with a number of miners, and others, and at tempted in open daylight to break into a house where he was;

"I answer thee: He may get a may get a doctor to her; and he may get any thing which he thinks will do her good; but I will confound them, for I will draw her unto me. A Prophecy given to John Wroe, dated Sheffield, 1st day of 5th Mo. 1831. Thus saith the Lord: The King shall sweep both Houses of Parliament again, as a man sweeps his yard with a beesom." (Meaning the House of Ministers, and the House of Commons.) Taken from the mouth of John Wroe, by John Shaw, of No 2, Senior Row, Sheffield; and John Wroe has also declared the same in the public congregation Leeds, as well as many other places in England.
