Strana 64 - They that go down to the sea in ships, and occupy their business in great waters ; These men see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
Strana 66 - In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
Strana 65 - They are carried up to the heaven, and down again to the deep : their soul melteth away because of the trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man : and are at their wit's end. 28 So when they cry unto the Lord in their trouble : he delivereth them out of their distress. 29 For he maketh the storm to cease : so that the waves thereof are still.
Strana 65 - Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet ; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
Strana 98 - Parcus deorum cultor et infrequens insanientis dum sapientiae consultus erro, nunc retrorsum vela dare atque iterare cursus cogor relictos...
Strana 65 - THEN the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, WHO is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man ; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Strana 66 - Hast thou entered the treasuries of the snow, Or hast thou seen the treasuries of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, Against the day of battle and war?
Strana 64 - With that he gathered the clouds and troubled the waters of the deep, grasping his trident in his hands ; and he roused all storms of all manner of winds, and shrouded in clouds the land and sea: and down sped night from heaven.
Strana 72 - Sea and so sailed into the Southern Ocean. When autumn came they went ashore, wherever they might happen to be, and having sown a tract of land with corn, waited until the grain was fit to cut. Having reaped it, they again set sail; and thus it came to pass that two whole years went by, and it was not until the third year that they doubled the Pillars of Hercules and made good their voyage home.
Strana 65 - O that men would therefore praise the Lord for his goodness, and declare the wonders that He doth for the children of men.
