To all devout Christians. BE pleased to observe, that this New Week's Preparation is (by afsignment from the executors of E. Wicksteed) printed for W. Bent, at the King's Arms, in Paternoster Row, London: also that there are two editions of this little Manual ; one on common paper with a letter-press frontispiece and titlepage, the other on fine paper with a copper-plate frontispiece and titlepage: and likewise, that every genuine copy, of both editions, has the fignature of the above proprietor.

To all to whon these Presents shall come, Greeting : WHEREAS our Trusty and Well be loved Edward Wicksteed, of our City of London, Bookfeller, hath humble represented to us, That he is now Printing a New Edition (with Improve ments) of a Work, Entitled, The New Week's Preparation for a Worthy Receiving

the Church of England, &c. In two parts. AND whereas the said Edward Wicksteed has informed us, that the fai Work has been perfected with great Labour, Study, aud Expence. He ha therefore humbly prayed Us to grant to him the said Edward Wicksteri Our Royal Privilege, Licence, and AUTHORITY, for the SOLE Printing Publishing, and Vending the said Work, in as ample Manner and Form? has ever been done in Cafes of the like Nature.
WE being graciously inclined to give all due Encouragement to Work that may be of Public Use and Benefit, and especially to those of this kind which so greatly tend to the Advancement of Religion, and the gencral Goo and Benefit of Mankind, ARE pleased to condescend to his Request, and DO by these Presents (as far as may be agreeable to the Statute in that Cafe mad and provided) give and grant to the said Edward Wicksteed, his Executor: Administrators, and Afligns, fūll Power, Licence, Privilege, and fole AU THORITY, for the SOLE Printing, Publishing, and Vending the fai Work, together with all and all manner of Amendments, Corrections, Al terations, and Additions of or to the fame; and Our express Will and Plea sure is, and we do hereby ftri&tly charge, command, and prohibit all an every person and lourfons whatsoever, within Our Dominions, that they, no any or either of them, presume in any manner of wise to reprint, abridge, o extract the same, or any part or Parts thereof, either in the like, or in any other Form, or Forms, Volume, or Volumes whatsoever ;. OR to import buy, vend, utter, or distribute, any Copies thereof, or of any Part or Part thereof, that are or shall be printed or reprinted beyond the Seas, without th AUTHORITY, Consent, or Approbation of the faid Edward Wicksteed, hi Executors, Administrators, 01: Assigns, by Writing under his or their Hand and Seals first had and obtained, as they and every of them offending hereit will incur our Royal indignation and Displeasure, and such other Pains and Penalties as by the Laws and Statutes of Our Rcalins may be inflicted. WHEREOF the Commissioners and other Officers of our Cuftoms, the Master Wardens, and Company of Stationeřs of London, and all other Officers, Mini Aters, and others, whom it may concern, are to take Notice, that a stria Obedience be given to our Pleasure herein fignified. Given at wur Court at St. James's, &c.
