Book as it actually exists, and not a comparison between customs, more or less obsolete, and others which have, in progress of time, grown into use and estimation, impartial readers will discover the Author's anxiety to avoid the unfortunate questions of the day, and to give a true and just account and explanation of the theoretical course of the order for Public Worship, contained in that most excellent Liturgy which our pious forefathers have bequeathed to our care and keeping.
