WIND.

EAST WIND THE
STRONGEST.

DEW.

THUNDER.

LIGHTNING.

THUNDER AND LIGHTNING.

Exod. xix, 16. And it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so

that all the people that was in the Camp trembled.

Exod. xx, 18. And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and, when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

Job xxxvii, 1, 3, 4. At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place. He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the

earth.

Joshua x, 11. And it came to pass, as they ded from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hail-stones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

A DESCRIPTION OF A
THUNDERSTORM.

Ps. xxix, 1-11. Give unto the

LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto

his name: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth; the LORD is upon many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory. The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever. The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people withi peace.

HAIL.

Exod. ix, 18. Behold, to-morrow about this time, I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until

now.

Isa. xxviii, 2, 17. Behold, the Lord hath a mightyand strong one, which, as a tempest of hail, and mighty waters overflowing, shall a destroying storm, as a flood of cast down to the earth with the hand. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet; and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hidingplace.

Isa. xxxii, 19. When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.
