land all that day, and all that
night; and when it was morning,
the east wind brought the locusts.
And the locusts went up over all
the land of Egypt, and rested in
all the coasts of Egypt: very
grievous were they; before them
there were no such locusts as
they, neither after them shall be
such. For they covered the face
of the whole earth, so that the
land was darkened; and they did
eat every herb of the land, and all
the fruit of the trees which the
bail had left: and there remained
not any green thing in the trees,
or in the herbs of the field,
through all the land of Egypt.
Then Pharaoh called for Moses
and Aaron in haste; and he said,
I have sinned against the LORD
your God, and against you. Now
therefore forgive, I pray thee, my
sin only this once, and entreat the
LORD your God, that he may take
away from me this death only.
And he went out from Pharaoh,
and entreated the LORD. And the
LORD turned a mighty strong west
wind, which took away the lo-
custs, and cast them into the Red
Eea; there remained not one lo-
cust in all the coasts of Egypt.
But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's
heart, so that he would not let the
children of Israel go.

DARKNESS.

Exod. x, 21-23. And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

AND FIRST-BORN DESTROYED.

Exod. xi, 4-6. And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: And all the first-born in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the first-born of the maid-servant that is behind the mill; and all the And there first-born of beasts. the night, he, and all his servants,
and all the Egyptians; and there
was a great cry in Egypt: for there
was not a house where there was
not one dead.

Neh. ix, 10. And showedst signs
and wonders upon Pharaoh, and

people of his land; for thou knew

TRANSFIGURATION OF MOSES. Exod. xxxiv, 29 35. And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. Exod. xvi, 15, 19, 21, 31, 35. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is mauna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating; and when the sun waxed hot, it melted. And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited: they did eat manna until they came unto the borders of the land

AARON'S ROD BUDDING. Num. xviii, 1-9. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod, according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes, according to the house of their fathers, twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod. And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers. And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you. And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod whom I shall choose shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you. And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod aplece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods; and the rod of Aaron

Judges xv, 11-14. Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson. Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers

over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them. And

And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.
