But if there were no other sacrifices to succeed it in the morning, then, it is very likely, that it was also kept burning till the evening sacrifice; that God's altar might always have meat upon it.

Bp. Horsley.-(It is the burnt-offering, &c.) Rather, "The burnt-offering must remain upon the burning fuel upon the altar all night, unto the morning, and the
