Air and Water Pressure Apparatus

FOR DOMESTIC & IMPORTED

Ales, Porters, Lager Beer, &c.

81 CHRYSTIE STREET,

Bet, Grand & Hester Sts.,

NEW YORK.

The use of an air or water pressure apparatus is almost indispensable to any establishment selling malt liquors. They not only keep the beer in good condition, but they actually improve it by furnishing a constant supply of oxygen, and it will pay for itself in a very short time, as it prevents the necessity of sending stale beer to the brewer.

I consider the apparatus manufactured by Mr. Schlottmann as the best in the market. The pipes and connections with which the beer comes in contact are made of the best English block tin, and give entire satisfaction in every respect. After trying most every apparatus made for this purpose in this country, meeting with many failures and incurring large expenses, I had an apparatus of Mr. Schlottmann's manufacture constantly in use for five years, selling a large quantity of beer, which was considered the best that could be obtained by connoisseurs, and the cost for repairs during all this time amounted to just two dollars ($2.00). These are my reasons for recommending them. HARRY JOHNSON.

BOKER'S BITTERS

T

O the bartender it is a matter of the greatest im= portance which Bitters he should use in the preparation of mixed drinks, of which they are one of the principal flavor-giving ingredients. The only advice the author of this book can give, is: "Always use the very best that money can procure."

The unmistakable results of observation and experience during the last 60 years have led to the popular verdict that BOKER'S BITTERS, first in= troduced into this country in 1828, and manu= factured here by an improved process since 1849, are now justly celebrated as one of those productions, in which the United States excel all the rest of the World, and that they are the MOST CONSUMMATE HARMONY OF PALATABLE AND INVIGORATING INGREDIENTS.

BOKER'S BITTERS are not only a remarkably fine Cordial, if taken PURE, but are unequalled for mixing with other Cordials, such as Curacoa, Anisette, Kümmel, Vermouth, Wines or Liquors, as well as for the preparation of the refined drinks of the bar.

This factory was successfully carried on for 13 years at No. 492 Third Avenue, and for the last five years with largely increased facilities at the corner of Roosevelt and South Streets. An experience of 27 ycars in this country enabled me to study the wants of the public, and furnish my customers with goods that will give entire satisfaction.

Harry Johnson sold over 70,000 of my cigars at retail over his counter in a single year. The proprietors of other prominent hotels and bar-rooms will cheerfully testify that the cigars I furnished them gave satisfaction to their customers and increased their trade.
